Interesting you say 'rock steady' as punk and reggae were mutual partners in the 'underground' scene of 70's UK.

Rocksteady being the foundation for much modern reggae music, The Clash were inspired in some of their most well known songs by reggae beats and guitar rhythms.

I'll put up on of my best loved reggae artists in a minute, a person / band I saw many times in my younger days ... Jah Shaka.

No, I've not heard of them before, but listening to a few songs off this album I like the electro-funk rock sound they have.

I'll listen to some more :)

I like the song you posted buy I think I prefer this one .. it has a little bit of everything in it .. even a touch of the Bee Gees, which is no bad thing.

Kings of Leon have a few good songs, but I'm not really a fan :P
