Comma Usage  starr  14 Oct 14 11:42AM Thread Closed

Hey, every-1:  I've been critting lots of poems here lately and finding that most authors aren't sure of where/when 2 insert commas.  Here's a little tutorial 2 hopefully help u in determining whether or not 2 use a comma/commas and when and where 2 insert them:  Hugz and good luck!  :-)

I don't think this really applies to poetry. Commas use is less restrictive in poetry. It's more intuitive, and sometimes they are used consciously to pace a poem. I am a FAN of breaking grammar rules in poetry. WITH FLAIR. But not in other writing :)

Do you perhaps have an example of your poetry containing this "Flair".

According to the moderators on Eratosphere bad grammar and its corresponding misplaced commas equals bad poetry. Members have been banned from their site for daring to imply otherwise.

Whereas idiots like Mor were banned from Eratosphere for their awful writing and highly misplaced certainty of their own talent.

We, the members of Poetry Critical, would like to applaud you for your insightful and absolutely correct evaluation of poetry that is suitable and desired for your site and your obvious talent for spotting a troll with no talent when you see one.

Mary Ann Corbett, of Eratosphere, you are a most excellent human being.
