my bob marley book report
gnormal

everything was going great for bob marley.
 1
he was half white half black.
 2
but then while he was playing football
 3
his big toenail fell off
 4
and he couldnt put it back.
 5

well his fans know,
 6
cancer of the toe!
 7
"chop it off" the doctors said,
 8
"kill it before it grow."
 9

but "Rasta no abide amputation."
 10
(his way of saying no.)
 11
"I don't allow a mon ta be dismantled."
 12
and could he dance with no big toe?
 13
"Don't ever let them change ya.
 14
(or even rearrange Ja!)"
 15

well next thing you know,
 16
he was jogging in central park
 17
and just collapsed.
 18
not on account of his toe though.
 19

not really any specific pain.
 20
just the cancer had spread
 21
to his lungs, liver, stomach and brain.
 22
he knew he would be dead.
 23

in miami hospital he told his son,
 24
ziggy, "Money can't buy life."
 25
and then he died (not ziggy).
 26
"bob!" ziggy cried.
 27

buried with his Gibson and soccer ball,
 28
a big bud, his Bible and that's all.
 29
his other 11 kids were sharon,
 30
cedell, steve, bob, karen, rohan,
 31
stephanie, julian, ky-mani, makeda,
 32
and little junior gong!
 33

julian got adopted by john & yoko.
 34
and junior gong?  well he,
 35
he studied Jeet Kune Do
 36
with Bruce Jun Fan Lee.
 37

"why not just cut it off?"
 38
so many people thought.
 39
but he lived whole not half.
 40
a man, a dare, an ideal.  he fought.
 41

so much pleasure,
 42
but not in vain.
 43
"one good thing about music,
 44
when it hits you feel no pain."
 45

it's all true, except for four contiguous lines.

wow, didn't know this was yours. just checked in. you're obviously checked out.

excellent.  though, perhaps you could tone down the humor in lines in which you have quoted lyrics.  other problems are in line 2 and all of stanza 6.

I cant figure out if it's intentional that this can be read to the tune of No Woman No Cry...
