Rose
Plato

I saw a rose today.
 1
But it held no suprise,
 2
only the morbid reminder
 3
of the evening, that would melt its petals away;
 4
and swell, its insipid rumor of lust.
 5
       With one blanket of insects ready to devour it,
 6
       I idly watch and ponder how similar, I inhale lovers.
