| Summer evening American Haikus
|

| Throwing a q-tip-- | 1 |
Unsure in mid-air-- | 2 |
It lands in almost-out. | 3 |
| |
Sitting on my chair | 4 |
Nude as a bird or baby: | 5 |
Flighty carelessness. | 6 |
| |
Jacked off thrice today— | 7 |
Felt like more— | 8 |
I wanted more still. | 9 |
| |
My hair’s falling out; | 10 |
I glance at every strand-- | 11 |
Slowly obsessing. | 12 |
| |
That itch on my scalp-- | 13 |
Goddamn hair treatment. | 14 |
| |
The birds’ wake, chirping, | 15 |
And are interrupted | 16 |
By early engines. | 17 |
| |
Them early engines roar | 18 |
A while, but summer birds | 19 |
Are more persistent. | 20 |
| |
Typing up a poem-- | 21 |
The calm summer morning | 22 |
Fades focus in and out. | 23 |
| |
A sudden sound outside: | 24 |
Was that a seagull | 25 |
In little Westminster? | 26 |
