Inside Looking Out
Mayuna

The grass is not greener on any side.  We strive for more, for the farthest part of the sky simply because it seems to be more blue.  We are never satisfied even when our selfish needs are satiated.

The grass seemed so much greener
 1
The air crisper to take in
 2
The sky a much more vibrant blue
 3
On the inside of those seemingly impenetrable walls
 4

Standing from the outside looking in
 5
One could only imagine the true beauty inside held
 6

Stained glass cast rainbows across the lawn
 7
As tall iron gates sheltered the estate from harm
 8
I knew in my heart I desperately wanted in
 9

At last my wish came true
 10
I found myself inside those walls
 11

However
 12

In too short of a time rainbows fade into shadow
 13
Tall iron gates close in around shutting out the light
 14
Encompasing me in those walls
 15

The grass seems so much greener
 16
The air crisper to take in
 17
The sky a much more vibrant blue
 18
On the outside of these seeming impentrable walls
 19

Standing from the inside looking out
 20
One could only imagine the true beauty outside held
