Twelve hour Rats +
Caducus

Throat slit red
 1
in brake light trance,
 2
my twelve hour changeling
 3
appears in wing mirror sunrise
 4
by birds in tarmac trees.
 5

Traffic light duel
 6
Audi Versus Saab
 7
amber green smog
 8
I scurry then crawl
 9
to a third exit grave,
 10
parking by failures
 11
in Hyundai badges
 12
yellow star cars.
 13

Eleven hours crawl
 14
Rats scurry to one room
 15
gnawing at each other
 16
then grouping on one
 17
to a slow one month death.
 18
Rob is now Robert,
 19
Rat is now mouse.
 20
At twenty past nine
 21
by mute tarmac trees
 22
my rat sleeps in its Saab tomb
 23
till it wakes on my forehead
 24
crawling in to my mouth.
