Premature scarring
recording songs of sorrow
betrayed innocence

For the last few months I've been servicing emotionally disturbed/abused teens who live in a sheltered home. I've been recording their songs, some of which they composed and others not, and plan to make them individual CD's. It's been challenging, sometimes I feel I can reach them and see them light up, and other times not. Kind of like light bulbs going through intermittent power surges.

The poetry is in your comment. Write THAT! There is so much emotion there, go with it!

To unk, I've been muddling through, trying to discover ways to have their minds and bodies engaged in as positive experience as possbile.
Notamy, I think I have a mind block about what is poetry and not. I've been wanting to just express my thoughts as I did in the above footnote, but have reservations posting it as 'poetry'.
Thanks for your encouragement.
