girlhood skipping where i lost
mandolyn

your laugh    a study
 1
supposed to make me want you
 2
longing to be a skyline    trying
 3
to remove the sun        to fade beyond you
 4

what you called me
 5
a troubled room    though i rest
 6
knowing space does not need me
 7
it doesn't cling    or beg to be limits
 8

and i might swear to you
 9
though my tongue loses balance    a dizzy decision
 10
not realizing our emotions    how incomplete we feel
 11
flushed with history
 12

from my heart to the basement    the aging corners
 13
you will approach me    like an antique
 14
disabling the past    as i discover you
 15
as i hold on to dust
