I dreamt about French fries and kissing you

on the brightest blue day
by the sea
there was salt on our lips
and you laughed because I was so happy
there were a thousand steps
down a cliff
and I ran in this dress that was not quite a ballgown
giddy from left turns
love, you were suited
and beautiful
shaded by the palm trees
from the huge yellow sun
