A Pair

When we are together we are not two
but one, a pair.
Sometimes the width of a wispy hair barely separates.
Keep your distance?
Your own space? ……. Listen.
I’m out there, while at the same time sublimely close.
A satellite coasting, magnetic field confused.
Freely floating, losing fuel.
Need to be found, brought back down
from cold air.
It’s then you’re always around,
Because two is one and we are a pair.
