blue sky

Silver light gleams
on edge of now dimmed streetlight,
sun splattering brazen evergreen leaves.
Smooth, icy blue sky,
silky like the snow that captures
the sparrows' prints,
envelops, like the skin
which she finds rough
and too dry, like the sun.
