Adam’s Flesh Was The Serpent’s Too

The Daughters of Beulah follow sleepers in all their Dreams creating Spaces lest they fall into Eternal Death"
                                                William Blake
When daughters of dawn
Made Beulah’s holy shores
In wombs of his undulating skin,
Within these folds of undulating flesh,
A curious mansion began its ascent
Overcoming swells of static dawn—
Allowing sweet love to surface again,
Sweet sweet love!— on moon-coated campuses
Reamed with honeyed forms!
Yes Adam’s flesh was the serpent’s too,
Bruising our heel as we bruised his head,
Cultivating webs of summer in his folds
    —Incubating worlds of delight!
