Don’t wipe out

I will embrace today
better than yesterday
paddle my way
over every obstacle
and I will be weary of sharks
who will try to steal
what ain’t theirs at all

and if I am too far out
and can’t see the shore
I will not scream and shout
for even though I cannot see it
it doesn’t mean
that it’s not there anymore

I will try not to move
to the rhythm of it all
but I will wait for the perfect one
that will take me back to shore
powerful enough
not to let me fall

for life can be full of surprises
and it is easy to loose track
Failing this moment
is like falling down a wave
and I will never get it back.
